HoYoVerse released a new Genshin Impact anime style short for Skirk that looks at her backstory and hints at her origins before the events of the game. It also features a number of cameos that show her interactions with prominent of the cast before her debut as a playable unit.

The Genshin Impact Skirk anime style introduction begins with her being picked by Surtalogi: The Foul. He is sending her to Teyvat and notes that the Descenders to the world have “the power to reshape the fate of the world.” However, Sutralogi noted she is not one, since he brought her there, and as such is a “treser.” We then see her fall like a shooting star, with Fontaine characters like Furina and Neuvillette see her descent. 

As Surtalogi tells her to “walk his path” to find a way to defeat him, he also reminds Skirk that Teyvat isn’t her home. Segments after that hint she encountered Klee’s mom Alice, Dainsleif, and Childe (Tartaglia). We also see her numerous battles against various types of opponents.

We do know what to expect from Skirk’s moveset once she debuts in-game. She’ll be a Cryo character who uses a sword to attack opponents. She’ll use The Foul’s attack for her Havoc: Warp Elemental Skill. Also, she doesn’t use Elemental Energy for her Havoc: Ruin Burst, instead it with or without Serpent’s Subtlety earned from her Skill. 

Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices. The 5.7 update arrives on June 18, 2025.

Back in 2023, Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless showed up on the PS4, PS5, Switch, and PC, and now in Fall 2025 Disgaea 7 Complete will debut on the Switch 2. As with pasts releases, it includes all DLC, and this version will also include some new challenges and Asagi. Rakshasa Baal will also be present to fight. A first trailer showed everything off.

In Disgaea 7 Complete, we follow a rich otaku named Pirilika who wants the full Hinomoto Netherworld experience. However, when she gets there she finds it is nothing like she expected. So she hired Fuji, tricking him into a contract, to help her restore the region and bushido code. 

Here’s the first trailer confirming Disgaea 7 Complete will show up on the Switch 2. While it initially started with standard gameplay footage, by the halfway point we get teasers for the included DLC, Asagi, and Rakshasa Baal. Hell Mode for everyone is confirmed, if you “Freely Use Infernal Treasures,” and the previous stat cap can be lifted if you “Take Me Beyond the Limits.” The official site also confirmed the DLC bonus stories and characters, Pleinair, glasses costumes, special weapons set, Disgaea costumes, and generic unit costumes will all be part of this.

Disgaea 7 Complete is coming to the Switch 2 in Fall 2025, and the main game is already on the PS4, PS5, Switch, and PC.

One of the big surprises during the Good Smile Company Nendoroid FUNS June 2025 presentation ended up being the reveal of an Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights Nendoroid of the heroine Lily. It’s incredibly early in development. As such, only concept art of the character appeared during the video.

The first concept art of Lily suggested how the final Nendoroid might look. She’ll wear her white dress with black ribbon belt. The one possible pose suggested she’ll look a bit apprehensive, as she does when standing behind one of the warriors who fights for her. Her expression in the first piece of artwork makes her look a little pensive.

Here’s the full June 2025 Nendoroid FUNS showcase. The Lily reveal came up after a little gameplay clip from the Ender Lilies game at the 11:40 mark. 

There have been two games in the Ender series so far. The first is Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights. That debuted in 2021 in early access before a full launch. Then in 2025, Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist showed up in early access before a full debut.

The Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights Lily Nendoroid is in development, and the game is available on the Switch, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.

During the June 2025 Nendoroid FUNS showcase, Good Smile Company confirmed the next Danganronpa figure we will see will be of Kokichi Oma from Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony. There’s no release window for him yet. His pre-orders could open soon, however, as a painted prototype appeared in the video.

There were three poses highlighted during the showcase. Two featured Kokichi with his hat and cape off, and the third showed him with them on. All three of his face plates appeared, with one being a standard smiling expression, one more excited, and a third that seemed devious. While we do know the hat and cape will be included, none of his other possible accessories showed up in the shots during the showcase.

Here’s the full June 2025 Nendoroid FUNS presentation. The Danganronpa announcement came up at about the 12:45 mark. Only Kokichi appeared, and no other figures of characters ended up announced.

This is the first Nendoroid of a character from this announcement. However, we have seen scale figures of Kaede Akamatsu before. 

The Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony Kokichi Oma Nendoroid is in development, and the game is available on the Switch, PS4, Vita, Xbox One, PC, and mobile devices.

Back at Smile Fest 2022, HoYoVerse said it would make Genshin Impact Kaeya and Xiao Nendoroids. However, nothing happened after that announcement. During the Nendoroid FUNS video released on June 12, 2025, it confirmed both characters are still in the works.

However, there is no actual sign of progress on the Kaeya and Xiao Genshin Impact Nendoroids. During the portion of the video when they came up, the same official HoYoVerse art of both characters appeared. There is still no concept art of other of the men in the Nendoroid style. As such, there are also no painted prototypes. 

Here’s the full Nendoroid FUNS June 2025 showcase. Kaeya and Xiao showed up at about the 14:24 mark. 

The first Genshin Impact Nendoroids came up in 2021. Player avatars Aether and Lumine debuted first. After that, we started to see the Archons. Venti appeared shortly after. The Zhongli one debuted in Japan in May 2025. Raiden Shogun is coming soon too.

However, while the Genshin Impact figures started coming at a slower pace, ones from other HoYoVerse series showed up more frequently. Honkai: Star Rail ones of people like March 7th, Dan Heng, and Aventurine all appeared, and we know Zenless Zone Zero Wise, Belle, and Lycaon will show up in 2025 and 2026 too.

Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices, and the Kaeya and Xiao Nendoroids are still in development.

Square Enix announced the re-release in Japan of the FFVII Remake Static Arts figure of Cloud Strife. Pre-orders are open on the Japanese Square Enix online e-store, where it costs 19,580 yen (or approximately $135,82.) The release date is set for November 8, 2025.

Meanwhile, the figure is still available in the North American and European Square Enix online storefronts, where it costs $189.99/€169.99‎. The Static Arts figure depicts Cloud standing, while holding his Buster Sword on his right hand and resting on his shoulder. The pose slightly mirrors Cloud’s pose in his key art for the original Final Fantasy VII. The Buster Sword comes equipped with a green magic materia, and a purple independent materia.

As a reminder, the FFVII Rebirth version of the Static Arts figure released in late 2024 and it shows Cloud in a battle-ready pose. The original FFVII Remake figure was announced in June 2022 and released later in November 2023.

The Final Fantasy VII Remake Static Arts Cloud figure is now available for pre-order and will release in Japan on November 8, 2025. FFVII Remake and Rebirth are readily available on the PS5 and PC, with FFVII Remake heading to the Xbox Series X and Switch 2.

Square Enix announced that more Kingdom Hearts mouse pads are on the way, with four circular options and one desk-size option coming to Japan. These will debut there on September 20, 2025. While these items will likely appear worldwide, as Amazon and Square Enix Store both do carry past and other series designs, none of them are currently on any US storefronts just yet.

As the Kingdom Hearts II desk-size mouse pad is the largest, it is also the most expensive. It will cost 3,850円 (~$27). It is over 31 inches by almost 16 inches, and it is designed to cover a substantial area on a desk. These types of mats could also be used when playing card games or engaging in other activities. It features characters like Sora, Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Donald, Goofy, Mickey, Namine, Ansem, and of Organization XIII. 

Here’s how that looks:

The four Kingdom Hearts circular mouse pads are 1,650円 (~$12) each. They are about eight inches around (200mm), so they’re really designed to only be used with mice. These each feature stained glass motifs. One features Xion front and center, with characters like Axel, Saix, Roxas, and Xehanort behind her. The second features Riku with Namine, King Mickey, and Ansem behind him. After that is one with Sora and Kairi back to back, with images of Namine and Roxas behind them. Finally, the last one features Sora in a crown sitting on a throne.

As a reminder, all of the past mouse pads in this line featured similar sorts of designs. So circular ones always looked like stained glass windows, and the rectangular full-desk ones featured notable art with multiple characters.

The Kingdom Hearts mouse pads will debut in Japan on September 20, 2025. We’ll likely see them worldwide sometime after that.

Square Enix set up new Final Fantasy XIV social media s, with the company now discussing FFXIV on Bluesky. There are actually four s on the service, and all of them currently shared the first announcement post and teaser video. This means people can follow the MMORPG there in English, French, German, and Japanese.

In the reveal, Square Enix noted this isn’t a replacement for any of the other FFXIV social media s. It’s designed to complement them instead. It is unknown if everything we see on, say, the X and Instagram s will also be mirrored on the FFXIV Bluesky . However, right now there are posts on both of those matching the new announcement. As this is the most recent notice on every platform, we’ll need to keep an eye on s in the future to see if every message will always appear everywhere.

It is important to note that the different language FFXIV social media s can post unique news based on what is relevant to the region, so we could see that happen with the Bluesky one. For example, June 6th is “Sheep Day” in Japan, and only the official Japanese X shared a screenshot from Solution Nine. 

This means we’ll have another option to check for possible announcements from events. There will be a Letter from the Producer LIVE LXXXVII held on June 20, 2025. Then on July 4, 2025, there will be a with Naoki Yoshida that will touch on games at Anime Expo 2025.

Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. A mobile adaptation is in development.

Back in 2021, Square Enix and Victoria Rosenthal released The Ultimate Final Fantasy XIV Cookbook: The Essential Culinarian Guide to Hydaelyn. You can still find that for $29.99 on stores like Amazon. Now, a companion to it will appear, as volume 2 of the FFXIV cookbook launches in October 2025. The Square Enix Online Store and Amazon are already taking pre-orders for $34.99 each.

The full title this time is The Ultimate Final Fantasy XIV Cookbook Volume 2: The Culinarian’s Journey from Shadow to Shore. This is to represent the regions covered in this installment. While the first entry primarily covered the base game, Heavensward, and Stormblood, this one includes food from the expansions Shadowbringers, Endwalker, and Dawntrail. 70 total recipes based on meals from the game will appear, and there will be step-by-step instructions and photos of how everything should look. 

Only three specific meals ended up being confirmed for this book so far. One is the Alpine Breakfast that debuted in Heavensward, and will likely involve ingredients like bread, eggs, cheese, chicken, spinach, and tomatoes. The Tacos de Carne Asada are a Dawntrail recipe. In-game, this dish involves items like flour, meat, garlic, onion, paprika, and pepper. Finally, Pudding of Perseverance & Prominence will be in there, though I can’t seem to find a counterpart for that.

The Ultimate Final Fantasy XIV Cookbook Volume 2: The Culinarian’s Journey from Shadow to Shore will debut in October 2025, and FFXIV is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.

Bandai Namco announced the first Bleach Rebirth of Souls DLC character and it will be Ichigo Kurosaki (Thousand Year Blood War Arc). If someone has the $24.99 Season , he will debut on June 10, 2025. Everyone else can get him on June 17, 2025.

This video primarily focuses on some gameplay footage samples. None of this version of Ichigo’s attacks are named. Instead, after seeing a quick series of images highlighting existing characters in the game, we see this Thousand Year Blood War Arc fighter appear. First, there’s a static image of his art. Then, we see him take the field. He uses two attacks, as well as appears in a notable form for this version of the hero.

This means there will be four versions of Ichigo Kurosaki in Bleach Rebirth of Souls once this DLC debuts. The first is a standard version of the character. The second Bandai Namco revealed ended up being Ichigo Kurosaki (Bankai). The third turned out to be Ichigo Kurosaki (Final Getsugatensho). Each one highlights the hero at different points of the series. 

Bleach Rebirth of Souls is on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the full launch of Ichigo Kurosaki (Thousand Year Blood War Arc) happens on June 17, 2025. The Bleach anime, including Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, are streaming on on Disney+ and Hulu. Viz Media handles the manga series outside of Japan.

Years after the release of both Final Fantasy VII Remake and FFVII Rebirth, Square Enix confirmed during the June 2025 Xbox Showcase that we’ll see the game series on the Xbox Series X. It will launch in Winter 2025. It also confirmed FFXVI will show up on the Xbox Series X on June 8, 2025.

As a reminder, this is a trilogy of three games that retell the story of the original FFVII. However, rather than a straightforward remake, there are some additions and alterations. (Someone might even compare the original and remake to Evangelion and Rebuild of Evangelion.) There is also an active combat system, rather than a turn-based one, and characters who were optional in the original are fully integrated into the story here.

As for FFXVI, it is an entirely new mainline entry. It's the journey of Clive Rosfield, the Dominant of the Eikon Ifrit, over the course of years. We see the struggle Dominants go through, as well as what people known as Bearers who can use magic face. There is also continuing corruption of the world due to the Mothercrystals' Blight, and Clive is the one working alongside allies to bring an end to it all to save everyone.

This means that this trilogy of games will be available on all of the “big three” systems. The first entry appeared on the PS4, PS5, and PC. Square Enix confirmed a Switch 2 port in the April 2025 Nintendo Direct.  Now, the JRPG is heading to the Xbox Series X as well.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is heading to the Xbox Series X and Switch 2, and both FFVII Remake and Rebirth are on the PS5 and PC now. FFXVI is available for the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.

During Summer Game Fest 2025, Sega made a number of Sonic Racing CrossWorlds announcements, including a September 25, 2025 release date for most platforms and character cameos with Hatsune Miku and from games like Persona 5, Like a Dragon, and Minecraft. However, the Switch 2 version doesn’t have a release date yet. There was also a new trailer showing off each of these crossover racers in-game. There will also be online cross-platform matchmaking for multiplayer.

You can see the trailer here. Hatsune Miku is confirmed for Sonic Racing CrossWorlds first, then we see Joker from Persona 5, Ichiban Kasuga from Yakuza: Like a Dragon, and finally Steve from Minecraft.

Square Enix shared new concept art on the official Final Fantasy VII Remake social media , and this time it showed the effect of the Toad status on Cait Sith and Red XIII and their unique forms as frogs in FFVII Rebirth. As is common, both amphibians feature traits and accessories inspired by the characters.

In the case of Cait Sith, it features a black and white color scheme like the tuxedo cat. It also wears a crown and red cape, just like the character. The comment noted it almost ended up being two frogs, to represent how the character rides a Moogle. The Red XIII frog is red with accents that mimic his markings, and it features two feathers behind its eyes. It also has a scar over the right eye.

Here are the two pieces of FFVII Rebirth concept art of Cait Sith and Red XIII as frogs after being afflicted by a Toad spell or Frog Song.

This isn’t the first time Square Enix shared concept art of the frog status effect in FFVII Remake and Rebirth, as the characters’ frogs resemble them when the Toad form is in effect. Back in 2022, around the first game in the trilogy’s launch, we got a better look at the Aerith, Cloud, Tifa, and Barret designs. 

Final Fantasy VII Remake is available for the PS4, PS5, and PC, and FFVII Rebirth is on the PS5 and PC. There’s no release window for the third entry in this remake trilogy yet. FFVII Remake will also come to the Switch 2.

Level-5 released the Switch 2 version of Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, and at the same time confirmed camera adjustments based on player are on the way. There’s a new trailer showing the gameplay changes for the latest release, as well as some screenshots showing the changes to the view after players requested changes.

Ahead of the Switch 2 debut of Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, Level-5 shared brief videos highlighting the frame rate and graphics updates. This latest video offers a more extensive look at gameplay. It began by showing peeks at how the graphics are improved in this version. Then, it offers examples of the frame rate updates when fighting, gathering, and crafting. The loading times come up after that to show how quickly it is to transition between time periods. 

As for the camera changes in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, there will be better angles and greater visibility. The two images shared by Level-5 seem to be taken from Ginormosia. In each, the field of vision is far longer. The patch adding them will show up on all platforms in mid-June 2025.

When the NieR: Automata 2B and A2 bunny girl figures first debuted, there ended up being a large amount of demand, and so Good Smile Company announced a second round of pre-orders for both of them. This applies to the US storefront. They are $332.99 each. 

While this is a second run, the launch window is the same. The A2 will show up first. She’ll launch in Japan in October 2025, then the US in Q1 2026. Back when Good Smile Company revealed the 2B one back in March 2025, it had a December 2025 release estimate for Japan and Q2 2026 for the US. That remains the same for this one. So there’s no penalty for having waiting to commit to one or both of them.

The contents of each shipment will also remain the same. With A2, you get her in a bunny girl swimsuit with glossy finish. Her hair is long, with a black bunny ear headband. She also wears black fabric fishnet tights. 2B also wears a similar swimsuit and bunny ears, though she does also have some sleeves on her arms. She comes with an additional head part, so you can display her with or without her visor.

The NieR Automata 2B figure of the character in a bunny girl outfit will debut in Japan in December 2025 and worldwide by Q2 2026. This second round of pre-orders is open now. The game is available on the PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and Windows PC. The anime adaptation is streaming via Crunchyroll.
