Good Smile Company opened pre-orders for the Goddess of Victory: NIKKE Nendoroid a day after it confirmed future figures in the line will be Scarlet: Black Shadow and Soda. Red Hood will show up in Japan in December 2025, followed by a US release in Q2 2026. She’ll cost ¥7,900/$56.99. There are no release windows for Scarlet: Black Shadow and Soda yet.

Red Hood is a notable and influential heroine in NIKKE, so much so that there’s even a Rapi alt inspired by her. She comes with three face plates. She’s smiling in one, is blushing with an even wider smile in another, and is shouting in the third. She comes with her Wolfsbane sniper rifle, as well as some effect parts to make it look like she’s using it. She also has a cassette she can hold.

Here’s a closer look at that Nendoroid.

As for the two new designs, those came up during the Nendoroid FUNS June 2025 showcase. Since Scarlet: Black Shadow and Soda are still early in development, only concept art for both NIKKE characters appeared. These were in the Nendoroid style though, so we do have some idea of how they will look.

Here’s that teaser image Good Smile Company shared with us:

The Goddess of Victory: NIKKE Red Hood Nendoroid will debut in December 2025 in Japan and worldwide in Q2 2026, and pre-orders for the figure end on July 30, 2025. The Scarlet: Black Shadow and Soda ones are in development. NIKKE is available on the PC and mobile devices.

Genshin Impact Skirk Anime Short Hints at Her Origins

HoYoVerse released a new Genshin Impact anime style short for Skirk that looks at her backstory and hints at her origins before the events of the game. It also features a number of cameos that show her interactions with prominent of the cast before her debut as a playable unit.

Editor’s Note: The Genshin Impact anime short for Skirk features spoilers for the character. 85q5u

The Genshin Impact Skirk anime style introduction begins with her being picked by Surtalogi: The Foul. He is sending her to Teyvat and notes that the Descenders to the world have “the power to reshape the fate of the world.” However, Sutralogi noted she is not one, since he brought her there, and as such is a “treser.” We then see her fall like a shooting star, with Fontaine characters like Furina and Neuvillette see her descent.

As Surtalogi tells her to “walk his path” to find a way to defeat him, he also reminds Skirk that Teyvat isn’t her home. Segments after that hint she encountered Klee’s mom Alice, Dainsleif, and Childe (Tartaglia). We also see her numerous battles against various types of opponents.

Here’s the full “Star Odyssey” short:

We do know what to expect from Skirk’s moveset once she debuts in-game. She’ll be a Cryo character who uses a sword to attack opponents. She’ll use The Foul’s attack for her Havoc: Warp Elemental Skill. Also, she doesn’t use Elemental Energy for her Havoc: Ruin Burst, instead it with or without Serpent’s Subtlety earned from her Skill.

Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices. The 5.7 update arrives on June 18, 2025.

Genshin Impact Kaeya and Xiao Nendoroids Still in Development

Back at Smile Fest 2022, HoYoVerse said it would make Genshin Impact Kaeya and Xiao Nendoroids. However, nothing happened after that announcement. During the Nendoroid FUNS video released on June 12, 2025, it confirmed both characters are still in the works.

However, there is no actual sign of progress on the Kaeya and Xiao Genshin Impact Nendoroids. During the portion of the video when they came up, the same official HoYoVerse art of both characters appeared. There is still no concept art of other of the men in the Nendoroid style. As such, there are also no painted prototypes.

Here’s the full Nendoroid FUNS June 2025 showcase. Kaeya and Xiao showed up at about the 14:24 mark.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aT4BGppOoZM

The first Genshin Impact Nendoroids came up in 2021. Player avatars Aether and Lumine debuted first. After that, we started to see the Archons. Venti appeared shortly after. The Zhongli one debuted in Japan in May 2025. Raiden Shogun is coming soon too.

However, while the Genshin Impact figures started coming at a slower pace, ones from other HoYoVerse series showed up more frequently. Honkai: Star Rail ones of people like March 7th, Dan Heng, and Aventurine all appeared, and we know Zenless Zone Zero Wise, Belle, and Lycaon will show up in 2025 and 2026 too.

Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices, and the Kaeya and Xiao Nendoroids are still in development.

Fate/Grand Order Astolfo Saber Version Figure Debuts in Japan

Sega announced that its Figurizm α collection’s next Fate/Grand Order figure is of the Saber version of Astolfo. It debuts in Japan on June 13, 2025, according to the latest announcement. While it will show up as a prize figure in places like arcades, we’ll eventually see it worldwide. Places like Tokyo Otaku Mode are already showing it for prices like $26.25.

This figure of Astolfo is based on the stage 3 appearance of the Saber version of the character in Fate/Grand Order. This means the dress is full and complete. It looks like there is even an apron on top. It doesn’t look like the Servant is performing any signature attacks. However, the pose does feature the character wielding the sword that is the trademark of a Saber type of unit.

Here’s a closer look at the new figure from various angles.

The Saber take of Astolfo debuted as part of a Christmas event in Fate/Grand Order. In the Japanese version, the character debuted alongside a Santa version of Nightingale in 2019. We only had a chance to pull for the character in the global version once the Christmas 2021 event debuted. Since this is a limited character, we can't pick up the unit in the gacha at any time.

To help compare, here’s a video highlighting this version of Astolfo in Fate/Grand Order. It included the Vulcano Caligorante Noble Phantasm attack at the end.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pTpn-L8Ij3Y

Fate/Grand Order is available for mobile devices. The Saber Astolfo figure will be part of the Figurizm line in Japan on June 13, 2025, and we’ll see it worldwide after that.

Fate/Grand Order is available for mobile devices. The Saber Astolfo figure will be part of the Figurizm line in Japan on June 13, 2025, and we’ll see it worldwide after that.

Get a Better Look at the New Honkai Impact 3rd Helia Battlesuit

HoYoVerse started teasing the new Erdos Helia Battlesuit Planar Armament: Warped Spacetime ahead of its debut in Honkai Impact 3rd. While there are no English gameplay or character trailers for it yet, the latest video shows her full art. The description for it also offered a hint at Helia’s mindset by this point in the storyline when she gains these new abilities.

We do already know some of the basics about the Planar Armament: Warped Spacetime Battlesuit for Helia in Honkai Impact 3rd. This will be the S-rank character for the new patch. Since this is after Part 2, she does make use of the Astral Ring system. This will be a BIO type of unit. When she attacks, she’ll deal Lightning damage to enemies.

The description for her teaser video included two “quotes” from the character about herself and the skills when she uses this Battlesuit. One is a bit generic, as all “she” said is, "I won't stop moving toward new possibilities." The other is a bit more detailed. It referenced the fact that this is a Warped Spacetime suit, suggesting additional versions or realities, as well as her Schicksal Mars team partner and “fellow Part 2 character Coralie 6626 Planck. That quite is, “It's to prove it to myself, to Coralie who has always believed in Helia, and to every single Helia out there—identical, beautiful, and flawed."

Here’s the full teaser for the new Honkai Impact 3rd unit:

Some folks might have already gotten to go hands-on with this unit. At the end of May 2025, HoYoVerse started taking applications for the test server for the 8.3 beta

Honkai Impact 3rd is available for the PC and mobile devices, and the 8.3 update is on the way.

NieR: Automata Event Returns to Goddess of Victory: NIKKE

During a Shift Up Producers' Creative Dialogue Special Livestream that included NieR: Automata creator Yoko Taro and producer Yosuke Saito, a rerun of that crossover event in Goddess of Victory: NIKKE ended up confirmed. That collaboration comes back on July 3, 2025. This is almost two years after its debut in September 2023.

Since this is a rerun event, we do know quite a bit about what to expect from it. 2B and A2 appeared as the banner units and were SSR ones, while Pascal showed up as an SR unit we could earn. A special story appeared involving Machine Lifeforms. There were also costumes, with 2B getting a YoRHa Uniform 1 design. It is unknown if we could see more characters or costumes in the rerun yet.

Here’s the PV from the original run of that NieR: Automata Goddess of Victory: NIKKE crossover:

The full Producers' Creative Dialogue Special Livestream can be seen below:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EezDZURfSfk

This means we’ll see one crossover collab come to Goddess of Victory: NIKKE after another. The Stellar Blade one kicks off on June 12, 2025. That features Eve and Raven as banner characters, Lily as one we can earn from the event, and Providence as a boss we can fight. There will also be Neurolink and Skin Suit costumes for Eve that are based on attire from the game.

All three of these games are tied together in another way too. Stellar Blade got both NieR: Automata and Goddess of Victory: NIKKE DLC added to it after launch.

Goddess of Victory: NIKKE is available on PCs and mobile devices, and the NieR: Automata event returns on July 3, 2025. The game is available on the PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and Windows PC. The anime adaptation is streaming via CrunchyrollStellar Blade is on the PS5 and PC.

Two Spook Shack Characters Zenless Zone Zero in 2.1 Alice Thymefield and Yuzuha Ukinami

When a new update arrives in a HoYoVerse game, the company usually takes to social media to tease gacha characters that will appear in the next version. It’s happened again now for the 2.1 Zenless Zone Zero patch, as the company shared two Spook Shack faction characters named Alice Thymefield and Yuzuha Ukinami who will appear. Both are Thirens.

Alice Thymefield is a Anomaly Agent in Zenless Zone Zero. She deals physical damage when she attacks with her sword. She also seems to be a fencer. She comes from a noble family. The announcement didn’t note exactly what kind of Thiren she is.

Here’s her first trailer:

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/IUnJ0me5qPA

Yuzuha Ukinami, meanwhile, is clearly billed as a tanuki Thiren in Zenless Zone Zero. She acts in a role for the Spook Shack faction, and she also deals physical damage.

We can see her for the first time here:

Here’s a gallery of the first images for both new heroines.

This means we’ve seen quite a few new Thiren characters in Zenless Zone Zero since the 2.0 series of patches kicked off. Two of them are in the Yunkui Summit faction. Pan Yinhu is a panda, while Ju Fufu is a tiger.

Eve, Lily, and Raven From Stellar Blade NIKKE

Shift Up held its Goddess of Victory: NIKKE Stellar Blade crossover livestream and revealed that the collaboration characters ing the game will be Eve, Lily, and Raven. The event will be called “Memories Teller” and be fully-voiced by the cast from the PS5 and PC game. Providence will be the boss in it. There will also be costumes for Eve and Raven. Everything starts on June 12, 2025. June 2025 is also when the NIKKE crossover DLC comes to the console and PC game.

Everything first starts after maintenance on June 12, 2025, but not all elements will appear at that moment. “Memories Teller” begins with a rumor humans are on the surface. However, once going there, we encounter people like Eve and Lily. Going through that event allows us to earn SR Lily for free. That day is also when the SSR Eve Pick-Up Recruitment gacha banner starts and we can get the Neurolink to earn the Neurolink Suit costume for the character.

The next batch of updates for the NIKKE Stellar Blade crossover event kicks off on June 19, 2025. That’s when the SSR Raven gacha banner begins. In addition to being able to pull for the character, the Midsummer can be acquired and gone through to earn a Midsummer Alice costume for the character. Another Eve outfit will appear in Stellar Blade on that day too, with the costume gacha adding a banner for her famous Skin Suit from the PS5 and PC game.

We got to see teaser images for many of the characters and costumes in the gallery of Shift Up official images below.

Here’s the trailer for the event:

Note that Eve, Lily, and Raven won’t appear in any other recruit banners in NIKKE after the Stellar Blade event ends, as they are limited units.

Interview: Preparing Zenless Zone Zero 2.0 and Its Characters

June 6, 2025 is a big day for HoYoVerse and Zenless Zone Zero, what with the title making its Xbox debut, version 2.0 debuting, and a number of major storyline additions and quality of life adjustments arriving all at once. We’ve already seen the company make major adjustments, such as TV Mode adjustments and adding two more Ether Agents. To go over what went into this latest leap to a new version and platform, Siliconera spoke with Zenless Zone Zero Producer Zhenyu Li about the development process, characters, and its influences.

Jenni Lada: Did any real-world cities shape the new Waifei Peninsula region in Zenless Zone Zero 2.0?

Zhenyu Li: When deg Waifei Peninsula, I drew a lot of inspiration from my home region, Guangdong, and its local culture. In Failume Heights, you'll find many establishments commonly seen in Cantonese communities, such as Yum Cha Sin, pawnshops, and traditional restaurants. These give the entire city a more authentic, lived-in atmosphere. Additionally, many of our team grew up watching Hong Kong films, so we infused Waifei Peninsula with a cultural fusion reminiscent of Hong Kong cinema. We hope this approach allows Zenless Zone Zero Season 2's unique artistic design and cultural flair to be appreciated by players worldwide.

There are quite a few Factions in Zenless Zone Zero that don’t have a full three for a complete squad yet. For example, Obol Squad, Stars of Lyra, and most recently Mockingbird. How do you come up with timelines internally for adding ? Will we end up seeing Factions that don’t ever end up with more than one or two in them?

Zhenyu Li: We don't have any specific restrictions on the number of in each faction, so there are no predetermined upper or lower limits for faction sizes. Future changes in faction numbers and whether new will will all depend on the needs of our narrative pacing and content.

When coming up with Thiren designs, how do you determine which types of animals and combinations can and can’t happen?

Zhenyu Li: We want Zenless Zone Zero to be a game without limitations. When creating Thiren characters, we don't set predetermined standards for what "can" or "cannot" be done. Instead, we focus on whether the character design fits the plot and background needs, whether their image can leave a lasting impression on players, in short, whether they're fun. As long as we strike a balance between aesthetics and plausibility, any kind of Thiren could potentially appear in the game.

26 of the confirmed playable characters in Zenless Zone Zero are women. Any chance we’ll start seeing more guys, especially ones who are five-stars?

Zhenyu Li: There will definitely be more male Agents in the future, including S-Rank ones. While we can't reveal who they all are just yet, we'll continue to introduce different characters as new versions of the game are released and the story unfolds.

The Defense role character pool in Zenless Zone Zero is rather low right now, with Caesar as the only S-rank Agent. Is there any particular reason for this and will we see more Defense units in the future?

Zhenyu Li: Defense characters generally have unique roles in team composition and combat. For example, Caesar provides shields for the team while also boosting the squad's overall damage. Because of this, we're careful when deg Defense Agents to ensure each one offers a distinct experience, rather than duplicating mechanics or playstyles. As gameplay expands further in Season 2, we'll introduce more Defense characters with unique mechanics, guided by both our design principles and player .

Zenless Zone Zero is filled with a lot of fashionable characters. What sorts of inspirations do you look to when deg costumes?

Zhenyu Li: We want every character in Zenless Zone Zero to be vibrant, three-dimensional, and unique. Before deg each character's appearance, we first consider their personality traits, using their background to guide the visual design direction. This ensures that every character's appearance reflects their compelling inner qualities and leaves a strong impression on players from the moment they appear.

For costume design, we generally follow two main principles: First, each character's outfit must be inspired by modern clothing, tailored to fit both their image and background while aligning with Zenless Zone Zero's urban setting and overall artistic style. Second, each character's attire must reflect their faction's background, with the costume design enhancing character recognition.

There’s been a lot of fine-tuning in Zenless Zone Zero since launch in of how missions proceed and combat, and it’s clear the influence Honkai Impact 3rd had on it in some ways. What are some of the most notable changes in 2.0 based on both before and after the 1.4 update?

Zhenyu Li: In version 2.0, we aim to bring players a completely fresh experience. From a narrative perspective, we've reimagined Waycraft to better align with Zenless Zone Zero's urban fantasy setting while incorporating modern social values. We remain committed to our “people-first” approach to storytelling, focusing on the perspectives and actions of ordinary individuals rather than heroes. In of gameplay, version 2.0 expands on core mechanics and deepens the experience of existing content. In Lemnian Hollow, we've enhanced the sandbox-style combat stages, integrating Zenless Zone Zero's unique gameplay features. Players can look forward to 3D combat stages that offer greater freedom, broader exploration opportunities, and smoother, more dynamic combat experiences.

To this expanded gameplay, version 2.0 also emphasizes infrastructure upgrades and innovation. First, alongside the combat stage improvements, we've enhanced basic systems and features, like UI and new 3D navigation maps, to ensure convenience and seamlessness for players. Second, we've deepened the links between existing game content: for example, the new temple management gameplay connects interactive experiences across various shops in Failume Heights, allowing players to immerse themselves more fully in New Eridu's self-contained city life and explore it through a clearly structured gameplay loop.

What kind of “this shouldn’t work, but it absolutely does for me” type of team of characters do you like to put together in Zenless Zone Zero when not trying to prioritize Factions and Elements?

Zhenyu Li: If I didn't have to worry about power level, faction, or stats, I'd probably just follow my curiosity and try out some interesting combinations—like a team of all characters over 160cm tall, an all-Thiren team, or even an all- team.

With games like Genshin Impact, we almost sort of have an idea of how long the main campaign might last due to regions tied to it. Do you internally have any sort of timeline on how long you expect the main Zenless Zone Zero story might run or how many arcs it might include?

Zhenyu Li: Zenless Zone Zero is a unique game that reflects our development team's own narrative approach and methodology. Rather than relying on area-based progression, Zenless Zone Zero leans toward a story-driven narrative, with each area naturally complementing the unfolding plot as narrative elements are presented to players. Our goal is for Zenless Zone Zero's storytelling to consistently surprise players, steering clear of predictable paths set by established settings. In fact, the main story only offers one possible thread—each player's understanding, experience, and emotional connection to the game is truly their own. We don't want to predetermine the story's direction; instead, we want players to freely imagine and explore Zenless Zone Zero's world, ensuring that their journey is always filled with unexpected moments.

Zenless Zone Zero is available for the PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices, and 2.0 is available now.
